Passed away surrounded by his family on May 30, 2017 at the Perley and Rideau at the age of 80. Son of the late Edgar Whissell and the late Gilberte Cloutier and the beloved husband of the late Charline Miller. Loving father of Sherry (Brian) and Claudette (André), cherished grandfather of Justin (Marly) and Arianne and great-grandfather of Emmitt and Arthur. Dear brother of Claudette (late Rhéal) and Francine. He also leaves many nephews, nieces and friends. He was
also predeceased by his siblings Robert, Denise, Raymond and Gilles. The family would like to thank the Perley and Rideau Ottawa 1 West team and volunteers for their dedicated support and care of our father. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Tuesday June 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home Chapel (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa). The family will receive condolences from 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
