EMILE CARRIERE--Emile Carriere, 57, of 323 St-Patrick Street, died suddenly
at his home Friday. He was born in Buckingham, and had lived in Ottawa since
1921. For many years he was a department manager at the Slover store but for the
past year had been with the Canadian Corps of Commssionaires. He was with the
RCAF from 1939 to 1945. Mr. Carriere attended the Basilica and was member of
the Sacred Heart League. He was married in Buckingham in 1918 to Normantine
Merangere who is let with one son, Robert of Ottawa, and Four daughters, Mrs
Roland (Lucille) Favreau, Mrs. Raymond (Simone) Lariviere, Mrs. Jack Stewart
(Rita), Mrs. Jean-Edouard Landry (Jeannine) of Hull. The funeral was held today
from the Gauthier Funeral Home, 259 St. Patrick Street, for requiem high mass at
the, Basilica. Interment was in Notre-Dame Cemetery.

Obituary of Yvonne Sawyer

Est décédée le 13 juin, 2018 à l'âge de 94 ans. Elle était la fille de feu Honoré Villeneuve et de feu Flore Nadon. Elle était l'épouse en première noces de feu Edson Sawyer et en deuxième noces feu Hugh McAlear. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses chers enfants Richard Sawyer, Elaine McCormick (Stephen) et Robert Sawyer (Maryse Fillion), ses petits-enfants adorés : Katie Sawyer, Matthew Sawyer, Daniel Sawyer, Joseph McCormick, Maxwell McCormick, Kelly-Ann Sawyer, Jacob Sawyer et Léticya Sawyer. Elle laisse également plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis dont son ami de cœur, John Hill. Elle fut prédécédée par ses sœurs Valentine et Carmen et par ses frères Romuald, Hervé, Paul, Jean et René. La famille aimerait remercier le personnel de la Résidence Beacon Heights ainsi que les médecins et les infirmières de l'hôpital Montfort pour les bons soins prodigués. Une messe commémorative sera célébrée le mardi 3 juillet 2018 à 10h30 en l'église Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes 435, ch. Montréal Ottawa. Passed away on June 13, 2018 at the age of 94. Daughter of the late Honoré Villeneuve and the late Flore Nadon. Beloved wife of the late Edson Sawyer and the late Hugh McAlear. Loving mother of Richard Sawyer, Elaine McCormick (Stephen) and Robert Sawyer (Maryse Fillion). Cherished grandmother of: Katie Sawyer, Matthew Sawyer, Daniel Sawyer, Joseph McCormick, Maxwell McCormick, Kelly-Ann Sawyer, Jacob Sawyer and Léticya Sawyer. She will be remembered by many nephews, nieces and friends and by her special friend, John Hill. Predeceased by her sisters Valentine and Carmen and by her brothers Romuald, Hervé, Paul, Jean and René The family would like to thank the staff at the Beacon Heights Residence, the Doctors and the nurses at the Montfort Hospital for their good care. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday July 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes 435 Montreal Rd. Ottawa. In Memory of Mrs. Sawyer, donations to the Shepherds of Good Hope would be appreciated.

Jeannine Landry (née Carrière) Parution du 2022/11/09 au 2022/11/12 Le Droit

C'est avec regret que nous vous annonçons le décès de Mme Jeannine Landry (née Carrière), décédée le 6 novembre 2022, l’âge de 90 ans. Elle était l'épouse de feu Jean-Edouard Landry et la fille de feu Émile Carrière et de feu Normantine Marangère.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Micheline (Steve), Daniel (Cindy) et Luc (Susan); ses petits-enfants : Tammy, Jessica, Alex, Anna Robin et Gabrielle et ses cinq arrière-petits-enfants. Elle laisse également plusieurs neveux, nièces et ami(e)s. Elle fut prédécédée par ses sœurs, Lucille, Simone, Rita, ses frères, Robert et Marcel.
Une célébration de sa vie, en présence des cendres, aura lieu le samedi 19 novembre 2022 11 h l’église St-Joseph d’Orléans 2757, boulevard St-Joseph.
