    SMITH, Veronique (Veronica) nee Lafontaine Passed away at home on Sunday,
    October 10, 2004 after a difficult and courageous battle with cancer. Dear,
    dear mother of Cynthia (Daniel Landry). Devoted to and adored by her
    granddaughters Anna Robin and Gabrielle. Predeceased by Herbert (Bert)
    Smith. Veronique is survived by her sisters Gloria Levere, Audrey Strong,
    Joan Pollex and brothers Rene, Edward, George, Richard and Philippe.
    Predeceased by her brother Bernard (Bernie). Mass will be held at Notre-Dame
    Cathedral, Sussex Drive (at St. Patrick's) at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday,
    October 14, 2004. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery. In her honour, memorial
    contributions to the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative (home support) Care Team,
    43 Bruyere St., Ottawa, K1N 5C8 would be appreciated.

    LEVERE, Gloria (nee Lafontaine) - Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, on Friday, February 12, 2010. Gloria Levere of Cardinal. Dearly beloved wife of the late Carroll (Nip) Levere. Loving mother of Diane (Rick) Dunn of Picton, Stewart (Cindy) of RR3 Prescott, Cheryl (Philip) Smith of Brockville, Joyce Levere of RR1 Brockville, Michael (Brenda) of Roebuck and Louise (Ron) Earl of Cardinal. Dear sister to Joan (Jerry) Pollex of Ottawa, Audrey (Eldie) Strong of Amherst, NS, Rene (Marge) of Johnstown, George of Montreal, Richard (Vern) of Johnstown and Philip (Sonya) of the North Channel. Predeceased by 2 brothers Ed and Bernie and by her sister Vera Smith. Sadly missed by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and many nieces and nephews. A private family service was held at the MARSDEN AND MCLAUGHLIN FUNERAL HOME Cardinal on Monday February 15, 2010 at 11am with Father Appelman officiating. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery Cardinal, ON. Thanks to all the nurses on the First floor of the Brockville General. Special thanks to Dr. Gill, Kathy Gaudet and Anastasiya. Your care and compassion is deeply appreciated. Donations to the Alzheimer Society and the Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
