Retired – Hydro Ottawa/Ottawa Hydro
It is with great sadness that I must announce that my Mike (aka Ol Grumpy) has left me. He passed away peacefully at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute on November 13, 2018, just shy of his 69th birthday. Cherished husband and best friend to his wife of 45 plus years Louise Lascelles-Bigras. He was the son of the late René Bigras and the late Jeannine (Viau) Bigras. He is survived by his sisters Francine, and Lucie (Gilles Archambault); brothers-in-law Richard (Suzanne Gravelle) Lascelles, Claude Lascelles, and Bernard Bessette. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Simone (Lascelles) Bessette. As we never had children of our own, he is also survived by our furbabies Bear and Indy, and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins on both sides of our extended family. Also survived by our very dear friends Bob Culling and Deb Munroe, my eternal gratitude to you both for all your help. I would like to thank the staff at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) of the UOHI for their excellent care of Mike. At Mike's request, there will be no service. Interment of ashes at a later date. Should you wish to make a donation in his memory, you may wish to consider either the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Ottawa Humane Society. Funerary arrangements by the Funeral Co-Operative of Ottawa, Inc.
