It is with sadness that the family announces his passing, on November 15 2020, at the age of 79.
Denis faced this deadly stage 4 lung cancer with courage, strength and patience.
Predeceased by his father Roger O. Vaillant, mother Artilda Tremblay, stepmother Gilberte Carrière and brother in law, is good buddy, Roger Adrien Lacroix.
He leaves in sorrow his sons Marc Sacha and Roke Bayne. He was cherished by his two nephews Jean Adrien and Guy Adrien Lacroix. He also leaves behind his four grandchildren Dylan, Evan, Jonathan and Karine. He will be missed by his friends André, Ken, J.P., Pierre and Ron who took him to all his medical appointements. He will be deeply missed by his sister Fleurette.
He loved the outdoors, camping, boating, fishing, and duck hunting.
The family would like to thank all of the staff of the fifth floor Palliative care Elizabeth Bruyère for the compassion and devoted care. They became an extended family we needed. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bruyère foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Visitations will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, on Friday November 27, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There will be a limitation of 27 person at a time including immediate family due to Covid-19 regulations. [1]
