    Biography:
    Born in Rockland, Ontario in 1929, Maurice was the only child of George Lozier and Louise Martineau, and spent most of his young age in Faccett, Quebec.

    He married Claudette Lalonde of Papineauville, Quebec in 1958 and eventually had four children; Claude, Francine and twins Pierre & Christine.

    Deeply devoted to politics, he was involved with Elections Canada for over 20 years. He was also a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus and the Institut canadien-français of Ottawa for over 30 years.

    His passion with the French language drove him to purchase a book store to which he names “Le Coin du Livre” Proud of his book store, Maurice became the first provider of French books to the French Canadian School Board, an achievement he was well proud of.

    On September 1st 1990, Maurice passed away after a lengthy illness due to cancer.
