ROBERT — Le mariage de Pierre Robert et de Mary Riley eut lieu le 23 septembre 1845, probablement a Ottawa, ou plutôt à Bytown, dans la petite chapelle St-Jacques, transportée depuis 1842 de I'autre cote de la rue Sussex pendant que se
construisait la grande église de pierre.
On ignore quand Pierre Robert, dont les descendants savent qu’il était sacristain, exerças cette tâche. Robert fut probablement le successeur de Philibert Bastien, bedeau, beau-père du sculpteur sur bois Flavien Rochon. Toujours est-il que Pierre, décédé en 1915 a l’âge de 89 ans, habita d’abord la rue St. Patrick puis le 109 de la rue Bruyère ayant épousé, en secondes noces. Marie Doré qui était née en 1832 et mourut en 1918.
Du premier mariage, il eut trois enfants: Pierre, Jean-Baptiste (diacre) et Hélène, Soeur Grise. Du deuxième mariage, naquirent Alphonse (Rose Morgison), Marie-Anne (Arthur Cantin), Bernadette (Joseph Martineau) et Joseph (Jeanne Bédard).
