Son of Walter Edward and Maude Deacon (nee Rankin) Blue, of Ottawa, Ontario. As a former member of The Royal Ottawa Golf Club, Aylmer, Quebec; Sergeant Blue is commemorated on a plaque in the entrance to the club.

Location: Startford-Upon-Avon Cemetery contains 22 First World War burials, made mainly from the hospital at Clopton House.
